TEACHERS' MONTH CELEBRATION

Teachers are the real holder of knowledge, enlightenment and prosperity using which they nourish and prepare us for our life. They serve as source of lighting lamp in our lives. It is our teachers who stand behind our success. Out teachers too have lots of daily routine problems just like us and our parents but they always keep their teaching profession at top and attend schools or colleges to complete their job responsibilities. Nobody say them thanks for their priceless job. So, we as students have some responsibility towards our teachers at least we can say them thanks once a year.

"Gurong Pilipino: Turo mo, Kinabukasan ko" is the theme for the National Teachers' Month this 2018. It gives tribute to the contribution of Filipino teachers to the future of their students, despite the low wage and the few benefits they receive each month. Our teachers have their own style of teaching the lessons and concepts to their students, but ultimately, their goal is one. This is the evolution of their students' knowledge, not just technical knowledge but also the moral behavior they have to grow up to their growth.

From the simple ABC and 123 to keeping the surroundings always clean are learned from the Kindergarten teachers which are still applicable today. These knowledge, attitudes, values and behavior bring out good and responsible citizens. Teachers don’t only teach theories. A teacher is not only about her lesson plans, her teaching methods, strategies and techniques. Inside and outside the campus, teachers served as the models to their students. A teacher is, as a second parent, about his/her personal character, values, and attitude. A teacher is also about her missionary work which entails a great deal of sacrifice on her part and her family. The teacher measures the achievements and aspirations of the nation. A teacher is considered to be one of the nation builders. On him/her rests the failure or the success of the nation. The teacher is also a dynamic force that motivates everyone to become a responsible, productive citizen. The teacher is the backbone of the community. Sacrifice, determination, courage, dedication, selfless , perservance – these are the common qualities, portrayed by the teachers that lead us to what we are today. Without them, what will be our future?

A teacher is a parent to me too, and just as I would say to my parent, I want to say to every teacher who has impacted my life- Thank You Teacher! What you have done I cannot ever repay. You believed when I could not. You became the voices that speak loudest in my confidence-is-slipping places. You showed me how to write and keep writing, no matter what it looks like or whether I win or how many people like it.Thank you, teachers, for believing in me. Thank you for believing in my gift. Thank you for helping me believe, too. You will never know the many ways you have changed my life and anchored my soul.
