EQUAL RIGHTS, EQUAL  OPPORTUNITIES   We are all born the same way as human beings and therefore deserve the same rights and acceptance but as time passes by many of the people have faced discrimination and injustice because they are different from others specifically the race, skin color and the culture that some consider to be a part of lower category of human beings, as well as the fact of holding different beliefs and ideals along withe preferences when it comes to things such as gender. All human beings are created equally, but we are not treated equally. As the bible reminds us there is no "we" and "they" here; there is only HUMANITY. We are all involved, and we are all implicated. There is no person who is inferior to any other person, ever. Despite over physical differences, the smallest, weakest person could kill the strongest, so the physical differences argument is no basis for justifying inequality. Providing equal opportunity gives and

The Essence of Christmas It's that time of the year again, The month of December has come and with it all the joys of Christmas. Some have the ideas having a house full of Christmas decors and lights to warm us in the cold breeze of this month, giving expensive gifts, having a Christmas tree full of fancy decors is not the one we call "the real essence of Christmas" instead it is all about giving love, joy and peace to all the people surrounding you. We must remember that Christmas is the most important of all the occasions because it commemorates the birth of Jesus Christ who preached love and forgiveness. If people start loving each other, the world will become a much better place to live in. God does not expect us to do great things this Christmas we only need to do things with great love not just only to our family but as well as to strangers, neighbors and friends. And that is the true essence of Christmas, giving and sharing. It doesn't

The Truth Behind every Success

People are living in a world where new technological advances have replaced the desire to read. Reading, in my opinion, has become less important to many adults and children. Some children and teenagers prefer to watch a movie instead of reading a book. This example is what some people are going through due to the enhancement of technology but Reading is really an important skill because it helps us in school, helps us understand life outside of school, and last, it develops one’s imagination and creativity.Reading skills are essential to success in society today the ability to read is highly valued and very important for social and economic advancement.            Reading is probably one of the most beneficial and feasible activities that a man can do. It is through reading that a person is going to be able to discover new ideas, concepts, places, and people. Some people even describe reading as a journey that starts as the opening of a page, and finishes as

Pakikipag-ugnayan Gamit ang Makabagong Teknolohiya

Image

Reflection: Second Quarter             It is indeed a stressful quarter, I realized that becoming a 10th grader is very challenging now that another chapter is about to come. Second Quarter taught me all about internet access and HTML documents.  Internet access is the process of connecting to the internet using personal computers, laptops or mobile devices by users or enterprises. Internet access is subject to data signalling rates and users could be connected at different internet speeds. Internet access enables individuals or organizations to avail internet services/web-based services. While an   HTML document  is a file containing Hypertext Markup Language, and its filename most often ends in the . html  extension. An  HTML document  is text  document  read in by a Web browser and then rendered on the screen.          Have you ever wanted to learn HTML or how to make websites? If so, this article is a great place to star t .  HTML  is a gateway to entire world of  learni
TEACHERS' MONTH CELEBRATION             T eachers are the real holder of knowledge, enlightenment and prosperity using which they nourish and prepare us for our life. They serve as source of lighting lamp in our lives. It is our teachers who stand behind our success. Out teachers too have lots of daily routine problems just like us and our parents but they always keep their teaching profession at top and attend schools or colleges to complete their job responsibilities. Nobody say them thanks for their priceless job. So, we as students have some responsibility towards our teachers at least we can say them thanks once a year.             "Gurong Pilipino: Turo mo, Kinabukasan ko " is the theme for the National Teachers' Month this 2018. It gives tribute to the contribution of Filipino teachers to the future of their students, despite the low wage and the few benefits they receive each month. Our teachers have their own style of teaching the les

The Resiliency of the Filipinos             W e all know that our country, the Philippines experience countless calamities. That is because Philippines is a disaster prone country located in the pacific ring of fire. That is the reason why Filipinos become resilient, they tend to overcome these disasters and reduce the risk of calamities.             Because of these disasters the resiliency of Filipinos are becoming stronger, tougher and are always ready because they are used to these calamities, which is I think a good characteristics for everyone and something that we must be proud of. Despite of having these disasters they still manage to live and fight even though their lives are in danger. I noticed that they always make efforts to be alive. And live happily like as if nothing has happened.       I believe in the saying of every Filipino whenever a disaster comes. Like example is when there is a typhoon, they always say "Bagyo ka lang, PINOY kami
A SERIOUS EFFORT               As I finish my first quarter in my 10th grade a lot of things happened. I knew about the things which I thought I already know. Especially in my I.C.T class, which is under by Mrs. Vera Cruz. She is good in teaching us our lessons because she explains it very well and it is indeed very understandable. My  knowledge about the internet became wider when she taught us about it's history, different types of search engines and creating a blog. Thru these experiences we were able to understand more how to work and live in the life in social media.      But in overcoming this challenge I have encountered many problems not only in I.C.T class but in all of the subjects it was a difficult journey as a student because every time we were given a lot of paper works, activities and stuffs. Posting an article in my blog was also a difficult challenge because I have poor skills in writing. especially that this is to be posted on the social media where everyone w

THE STATE OF THE NATION ADDRESS 2018  The third State Of the Nation Address of President Rodrigo Roa Duterte was held last July 23, 2018  at the Batasan Pambansa in Quezon City. Unlike his previous SONAs  the President’s speech lasted for around 48 minutes. In terms of numbers, the President did not tell a single curse . The President's SONA topics consisted the   Human rights, War on Drugs, Corruption,  Bangsamoro Organic Law   ,  Contractualization, Boracay development, the train Law,the west Philippine sea, Healthcare services, Terrorism and Environmental issues. I tried reading the transcript and seeing how long it was, I opt to look for the highlights of his speech. I didn’t watch the video because I don’t really watch SONA of any of the past president .  I was expecting that he will highlight the government’s accomplishments. I guess he is less interested in that. Again, typical on his speeches is war on drugs, human rights and etc.  One time, I read the news
GOOD NUTRITION IS OUR MISSION Every month of July we are celebrating nutrition month nationwide. This year’s theme is “Ugaliing Magtanim Sapat na Nutrisyon Aanihin”. this is very important because it focuses on assessing each student and every citizen the importance of proper and adequate nutrition in our body thru planting.         The message of this year’s theme means that we need to learn to plant so that in the future we will get enough nutrition from the crops we will harvest. We should not always rely on our farmers, a day will come that the agricultural sector will become low. So as early as now we should learn to plant and make it a habit, there are many ways on how we can plant a variety of vegetables and fruits; it can be our yard, vacant lot or even the wasted plastic bottles especially when living in a home that is limited to the land space to be used. Is it hard to plant? Even our farmers who plants everyday just to give us food to live doesn’t even complain some
02 July 2018 RODRIGO ROA DUTERTE President - Republic of the Philippines MalacaƱang Palace, MANILA Dear Mr. President,                I am a student who is currently studying at Ilocos Sur National High School and I am writing to you today to share my thoughts about the problems we are experiencing in our school. Because of our uncontrolled population, the number of students are rapidly increasing.                I want this problem to be solved because I feel bad for the other students who stays outside to perform their classes, and doesn't even have their own classroom. But the students are going through a hard time since the solution in this problem was applied, which is the class shifting. And others couldn’t yet adjust to this new change of schedules. Students are giving their bad feed backs about it and I think it’s time to come up with a different plan.                As a public school, which is also under the government I could recommend y

Why Do We Celebrate Independence Day?

Image
One of the most important holidays in the Philippine history is the Independence day because it marks the Nation's freedom from Spain, Japan and America who ruled the Philippines a long time ago.  It's been almost 120 years of celebrating independence day since twelfth of June year 1898. As a proud citizen, do modern-day Filipinos remember it's relevance, aside from it being a holiday for the entire nation?  It is very important to know about independence day especially to the youth so that we are fully aware and we could learn to understand the sacrifices of our ancestors made, just to set our country free. Because during this times they were treated as slaves in their own country and the inequality between the rich Spaniard to the poor Filipinos. The significance of celebrating Independence day is when  knowing about our past help us understand our present better so that we can prepare for the future. Which is why teaching the youth about
